Trying to get back into the habit of answering challenges (they give so much inspiration and have me doing things I would never have thought of otherwise). I discovered Got an Inkling over at Dthaase’s site today and was immediately inspired. Great challenge that one. So I scribbled down a sketch to answer that and incidently my first Sunday Sketches in a long time.
It has been a while since I’ve attempted an Illustration Friday topic, and in the past all my entries have been paintings. But yesterday I needed a prompt to try something out, and I happened to remember that this week’s IF was bicycle. So we have bikes.
Sunday Sketches… I actually did some sketching this week as part of my current venture into animation. When I say animation, I mean very basic animation. First up we have an attempt to answer last week’s Illustration Friday prompt of ‘deja-vu’. I had a concept, but my brain wouldn’t supply me with an image to fully communicate what I was […]

‘Somehow he felt different after visiting the art gallery.’ Herbert, pen on bleedproof paper, approx. 210 x 150 mm. Just a quick post as my youngest daughter is not well at the moment (upset tummy, nothing major except for the fact she is only 7 months old) and I need to be with her. I […]
‘Special precautions were required when Uncle Bill came to visit.’ Little House, pen on bleedproof paper, approx. 290 x 200 mm Is it a little sad that when prompted with the phrase ‘little house’, the first thing that came to mind was a toilet? Or should I blame it on being Australian? In any case, […]
